I have been exploring yoga, cooking and holistic lifestyle since I was 17 (which is about 16 years now 😉 ) and continue to do so.

I dedicate my time and energy to doing what I love, to what inspires me & my passions, which are yoga, cooking & baking, chocolate & rock climbing.

I have been blessed with being able to travel various parts of the globe and live in different countries, divided over four continents. My roots are in South Africa, my home in The Netherlands, but my heart and soul I would have to divide between Ecuador and India. I love meeting people from different coutries and cultures and especially try their food 😉

I mainly study & practice Hatha, Raja & Ashtanga Yoga. I have been very lucky to meet different teachers who inspired me and lead me in a good direction. I am always gratefull to Claudia Rathmayer who taught me Primary Series. Prem and Radha who helped me deepen my practice. Alexandra Moreano who initiated me in Second Series. Mauricio Victorica & Lucia Andrade who helped me fortify and go further in Second Series. Although physically not in this world anymore I strongly connect to the teachings of Swami Rama and Ramana Maharshi. They inspire me in countless ways which is why I have also spent time in their ashrams in India.
However I feel extremely blessed to have my continuous Raja & Ashtanga Yoga teachers with whom I can constantly deepen my practice on all levels, because they know me personally and I can maintain a consistant practice under their guidance.
Thankyou Gilles & Valerie Redard for introducing me to a subtle realm that continue to amaze me. Thankyou Gibran Gonzales for helping me refine my practice, for your encouragement and your daily guidance and inspiration.

Through the years I have come to realize that food is one of our direct  and most intimate connections with nature. This lead me to study Ayurveda and different ‘western’ nutrition & food trends. I love studying nutrition and spending hours in the kitchen cooking and experimenting with ingredients, flavours and colours. I especially let myself be inspired by ancient cooking traditions from different cultures.

I love meeting new people and students and try to help, guide or just accompany them in any way I can. All experiences and relationships in life carry lessons with them and meanwhile teaching I am even more a humble student of my students and teachers. They teach me so much and inspire as well as guide me in many aspects of my life.
